PROFESSIONAL OBJECTIVE Ph.D. in Information Studies An academic career in the field of Knowledge Management
RESEARCH OBJECTIVE To construct a taxonomy of successful Knowledge Management (KM) practices and initiatives in order to develop a theory for ‘best’ practices for the dissemination of organizational knowledge. To establish metrics to be used to evaluate KM practices in order to identify ‘best’ practices.

Project: Radio Shack VPN Project Length: 7 months Client: Radio Shack Scope: Network a Compaq P3 VPN server (Win 2000), Cisco 1900 switch, IBM Hub, POS server, and Demo unit to a broadband connection. Provide satellite/DSL connectivity to the store and its Cashlanes. Upgrade Memory and re-image machines. 1800 Locations 2. Project: Mercedes Benz NetStar Deployment Project Length: 5 Months Client: ADP / Mercedes Benz Scope: Securing the installation and implementation of the NetStar System (Network) at 60% of all Mercedes Benz Dealerships in the US. Responsibilities include overseeing and managing the entire process from site analysis, implementation of the system, to installation of the network. 3. Project: Pathfire Footprint Project Length: 14 months Client: Pathfire, ABC, CNN, WB Scope: Installed digital media servers running Win 2k. Connected Satellites and dubbing workstations to stream digital media replacing tape. 4. Project: Bluecurrent / Oxy Project Length: 5 months Client: Bluecurrent / Oxy Chemicals Scope: 1. Train Oxy Chemical Locations on use of Windows XP. 2. Using the Bluecurrent IS tool, upgrade Dell workstations to XP or swap out for new machines, securing the integrity of all user information. 5. Project: HP Trade Show Set-up Project Length: 10 months Client: Hewlett Packard Scope: Network two booths for monthly HP trade shows. Install included Netgear hubs, Linksys Routers, WAN connectivity, HP Print Servers, Digital Cameras, Printers, Laptops and Workstations 6. Project: Pathfire Charter Project Length: 4 months Client: Pathfire / Charter Communications Scope: Update and swap remote satellites and servers at unmanned cable broadcast locations. 7. Project: IBM / Wal-Mart Project Length: 2 months Client: IBM / Wal-Mart Scope: Rack, Network, and assign ports for IBM 700 Series Servers in Wal-Mart UPC centers 8. Project: Countrywide Win 2K Rollout Project Length: 4 months Client: Countrywide Home Mortgages Scope: Alpha and Beta testing of Windows 2K rollout including workstation and server installation, image upgrades, and Token Ring to Ethernet conversions 9.
